How to Apply for Government Schemes

Most schemes now have fully online applications. Follow these steps to improve your chances.

1

Register Your Business

Get Udyam Registration (for MSMEs) or DPIIT recognition (for Startups). This is the foundation for most schemes.

2

Check Eligibility

Read the eligibility criteria on the official portal. Key factors: business size, turnover, sector, and age of enterprise.

3

Prepare Documents

Typically: Aadhaar, PAN, Udyam certificate, bank statements, business plan and project report.

4

Apply Online

Visit the scheme's official portal (links given below). Most have online forms. For loans, apply through your nearest bank.

5

Track & Follow Up

Keep your application number. Follow up at the bank/nodal office. Most approvals take 2–8 weeks.

Official Government Portals

Always apply through these verified government websites only. Beware of fake agents and fraudulent portals.
